WHAT is the charge of the work group?
2010-2011: At its 3 Sep 2010 meeting, the 2010-2011 Faculty Affairs Policy Committee unanimously recommended that the post-tenure review work group be expanded to include at least one representative from each academic unit (colleges and library) and that the work group review the post-tenure review language in the GCSU Academic Affairs Handbook ensuring clarity and a careful review of the appeal process.
2011-2012: At its 29 Apr 2011 meeting, the 2011-2012 Faculty Affairs Policy Committee unanimously endorsed the post-tenure review work group continue its work during the 2011-2012 academic year in consultation with the committee and ensure that its membership remain in compliance with the membership requirements from 2010-2011 which were the inclusion of at least one member from each academic unit (colleges, library).
2012-2013:The 30 Nov 2012 meeting minutes of the 2012-2013 Faculty Affairs Policy Committee document the following. There was renewed discussion of taking some action on post-tenure review policy. Discussion led to a vote to take up the issue again. Mike Rose will attempt to reconvene the original committee and they will take under consideration whether or not to attempt a total overhaul of the policy or to focus more narrowly on the issue of instituting an appeals policy.
