The next meeting of the University System of Georgia Faculty Council is scheduled for November 19, 2010 and will be hosted by Juone Brown-Johnson of Fort Valley State University. I offer the following SAVE THE DATE information about this upcoming meeting.

Note: To suggest another item for the tentative agenda, please reply to this email message by October 22, 2010. Feel free to reply to all if you wish the entire list membership to see your suggested agenda items.
Two-year Merger (Update)
USG Faculty Council Bylaws (Review USG bylaws and suggested revisions received during the endorsement process)
Faculty Compensation (Salary, Benefits such as Health Care, Retirement)
Sectors in the University System of Georgia (Update)
Another source of tentative agenda items might be formal statements that seek endorsement by the advocates. In this case, perhaps it would be most efficient that a statement be prepared in advance of the meeting and circulated for consideration by potential attendees. This list might be used to vet such a statement and allow the benefit of the combined experience and wisdom of the list membership to provide suggestions on the draft. Clearly, any faculty member can offer such a statement for feedback.
