Greetings Colleagues:
As promised in the SAVE THE DATE message (sent earlier to this list and copied below), this message is a call to register for our November 19, 2010 USGFC meeting. I hope you will be able to attend the meeting. If you are unable to attend yourself, please consider sending a representative from your institution.
To register for the meeting, please complete the attached registration form and email it to brownj@fvsu.edu. You may pay three ways:
1. Onsite-$25.00 (Cash, Check, Money Orders, Visa, or MasterCard) Make checks/money orders payable to Fort Valley State University.
2. Online ? $26.00 ($25.00 for Registration & $1.00 processing fee) http://www.wildcatticketoffice.com Directions for online registration have been attached for your convenience.
Onsite Payment: If you wish to pay onsite, please complete the attached registration form and email it to brownj@fvsu.edu by November 17, 2010. If you decide not to attend after reserving a space via this form, you will be expected to pay the registration fee as agreed.
Remote Participation: While remote participation is possible, at present there is limited support for this type of participation at our meeting site. If you are interested in participating remotely, contact me (Juone Brown at brownj@fvsu.edu) for further information.
DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO PETTIGREW CENTERPlease note, the registration fee includes registration administration, breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack.

Note: To suggest another item for the tentative agenda, please reply to this email message by October 22, 2010. Feel free to reply to all if you wish the entire list membership to see your suggested agenda items.
Two-year Merger (Update)
USG Faculty Council Bylaws (Review USG bylaws and suggested revisions received during the endorsement process)
Faculty Compensation (Salary, Benefits such as Health Care, Retirement)
Sectors in the University System of Georgia (Update)
Another source of tentative agenda items might be formal statements that seek endorsement by the advocates. In this case, perhaps it would be most efficient that a statement be prepared in advance of the meeting and circulated for consideration by potential attendees. This list might be used to vet such a statement and allow the benefit of the combined experience and wisdom of the list membership to provide suggestions on the draft. Clearly, any faculty member can offer such a statement for feedback.
