Announcements of the Meeting by Email

(08-17-06 from Dr. J.W. Good)
USB&GCC members,

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, August 23, 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm in Kilpatrick 221 (Glass Room).  Because we will give the Drafting Committee specific guidelines for drafting work at our next meeting, please review some information.  It will only take a few minutes for you to review the AGC proposal from Session 4 of the 06 Retreat. As you review the AGC proposal also please consider the functions for Student Affairs to provide direct ties to SGA for academic and nonacademic policy work.  There has been a problem in the length of time needed to get actions implemented. Also, for B&P, please consider functions for major academic and nonacademic policies as well as major planning inititatives having university impact.
We are in really good shape to begin our work.

(08-21-06 from Dr. Craig Turner)
USB&GCC Members,
Here are links to some documents that may be relevant to the discussion at our Wednesday, Aug 23 meeting.

(1)  A proposal for the process by which we will complete our work.  Essentially this is last year's process
with the membership of the drafting committee updated.
http://info.gcsu.edu/intranet/univ_senate/USBGCC/BylawsRevisonProcess_08-23-06.doc
(2) A summary of the level I, II, III changes to the bylaws that were considered last year.  This shows some
of the other issues that were to be considered such as term limits, senate composition, etc, that the committee
did not attend to last year. http://info.gcsu.edu/intranet/univ_senate/USBGCC/BylawsQuestions03-05-06.doc
