Subject: Info. for faculty
Some faculty have asked about how they can access the University Profile
System (UPS), so here is a brief guide.
For more explanation of the UPS, go to the Academic Affairs Handbook
3.05.06,
3.05.06.1,
3.05.06.2,
3.05.06.3,
3.05.06.4
The University Profile System is an on-line source for detailed and
current information about academic units, the programs they deliver, the
courses in those programs, and the instructors of those course. The
information contained in the UPS is more complete than in the catalog, and
it addresses issues required by SACS (e.g., degree and course outcomes or
instructors' qualifications). The information categories can be accessed
directly, but they are also linked (i.e., one can go from degree, to each
course within degree, to instructors for each of those courses).
It can be access via the Academic Assessment page (from the e-Cats Faculty
menu) or direct at this url:
http://info.gcsu.edu/intranet/Academicassessment/univ_profile.htm
Anyone may view this information.
Deans and chairs have access to revise information at any time--the goals is
that it be as current and accurate as possible.
