Announcement for Friday, September 7, 2007 12:30-1:45 CAPC Meeting 

Greetings! I hope you enjoyed the labor day holiday and have had a great week.  Our next meeting is this Friday, September 7 at 12:30 in A&S 2-16.  Attached please find the proposal for the new gen ed curriculum provisionally passed by the senate, pending approval of the implementation plan, and a copy of the document drafted by the gen ed implementation plan committee regarding the freshman clusters and sophomore seminars. The latter document is a draft only, and should not be assumed to be in its final version.  The gen ed committee would welcome and appreciate your input as it continues to work on the implementation plan. 
 
On our agenda for Friday, we have the following items, some of which we?ve been asked by ecus to discuss:
 

1. Brief  senate announcements (web page, graduate assistant, regrets procedure, email lists, and standing committee officer orientation)

2. Input on the Mycats senate/standing committee presence

3. Input on meeting etiquette proposal

4. Overview of the gen ed proposal

5. Discussion of the freshmen cluster and sophomore seminars
