Good News! The Governor approved the ORP Legislation (HB815). Thank for your participation and involvement in this effort. Following is a summary of HB815:

• Permits the Board of Regents to set the employer contribution rate for the Optional Retirement Plan.

• Expands the definition of employees who may choose to join the ORP program instead of TRS from faculty and principle administrators to all exempt employees.

• Only employees hired after June 30, 2008 that are faculty or exempt employees will have the opportunity to elect to participate in the BOR Optional Retirement Plan rather than TRS.
