The Student Government Association would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation for your support and approval of the new alcohol policy allowing for tailgating on campus.  We feel that this is one step in many in helping to further define and establish better “campus ethos.”  SGA continues to remain very busy moving into the Spring Semester and have fully developed and launched the Student City Relations Committee.  We continue to work towards making renovations to the Student Lounge to make it more accessible and inviting.  The SABC Policy Revisions have been approved by Dr. Leland and the new guidelines are reflected in the Student Handbook.  SGA continues to work with Physical Plant to finalize plans for the Bell Tower and have installed Motion Sensors in Office to be more eco-friendly.  Homecoming 2010 is fast approaching and we are pleased to announce Sean Kingston and MuteMath be this year’s headliners for the annual concert.  Intramural in-field improvements are nearly complete.  The Campus Ethos Task Force continues to identify campus traditions, evaluate status, and provide recommendations.  SGA is working alongside the Sustainability Council to get  a Campus Recycling Program in full force.  We also hope to have a new fight song recording with and without lyrics coming on shortly and continue to solidify that new tradition in the campus fabric.
