  1. Karynne Kleine, Presiding Officer of the 2009-2010 University Senate, called the meeting to order at 12:32 p.m.
  2. Karynne Kleine invited University Senators to add a commitment to the University Senate banner. This commitment banner was started at the 12 August 2009 Governance Retreat. The banner will be brought to each meeting of the 2009-2010 University Senate throughout the academic year.
  3. Following a reminder that each University Senator confirm his/her attendance status (Present, Absent, Regrets) for the April 24, 2009 Organizational Meeting with Craig Turner[the University Senate Secretary], a motion to approve the April 24, 2009 minutes as circulated (allowing for attendance status confirmations) was made, seconded and approved.
  4. President Leland gave the President's Report
  5. University Senate Pins were awarded to Rebecca McMullen and Amy Pinney by President Leland and Karynne Kleine.
  6. Reports from Chairs of each University Senate Committee were given in the following order.
  7. Unfinished Business -- There was no unfinished business.
  8. New Business -- Karynne Kleine reminded University Senators to add a commitment to the banner and to confirm their attendance status with Craig Turner for the April 24, 2009 organizational meeting.
  9. There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made, seconded and approved. The meeting adjourned at 12:59 p.m.
