- The Committee met on Friday 08/28/2009 in Atkinson Hall
Room #208 at 12:30 PM.
- Next meeting will be 09/04/2009 at same location.
- The Chair welcomed members to committee.
- The Committee discussed outstanding issues referred from
last year’s committee.
- Discussion on graduate academic standing/ restricted
enrollment:
- Issue: Graduate program directors say current
policy of six hours of uncompensated C’s is difficult to explain.
- Will work to finalize proposed policy in next
meeting on 09/04/2009
- Undergraduate Academic standing/Restricted
enrollment:
- Issue: Students on Academic probation who take
less than full load in summer may be elevated to next level even if
they make improvements in their GPA.
- Consider that if the student takes less than
eight hours in any semester then do not elevate to next level.
- Will work to finalize proposed policy in next
meeting on 09/04/2009
- Discussed new issues to assign to agenda throughout year:
- Transfer Admissions – Multiple issues
- Discuss a policy regarding the archiving of course
syllabi
- Material from Faculty left with department when leave
dealing with their courses.
- Incomplete grade requires contract with student on
what is required to complete.
