On August 22,
the Faculty Affairs Policy Committee met and discussed the following:

Faculty
Bylaws – a work group consisting of Mike Rose, Todd Shiver, and Craig
Turner submitted a draft of proposed Faculty Bylaws changes to the group. The
committee was charged with taking the draft of the Faculty Bylaw revisions to
their constituents for review and comments. The committee will further discuss
the proposed revisions at its next meeting. The hope is to have the proposed
bylaw changes brought for faculty vote by the Spring Faculty meeting.

Faculty
Awards – The faculty awards working group was reformed and will include
the original two members as well as Bob Haney and at least one additional member.

Work load - The committee discussed current
institutional policy on instructional load and work load. Existing
recommendations regarding instructional load were reviewed.
