The Academic Policy Committee submitted motion 0708.APC.002.P to the University Senate for consideration. The motion text: “To raise the minimum required TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score for graduate admission from 500 (paper-based version/173 (computer-based version)/79 (Internet version) to 550/313/79 respectively, effective Fall semester, 2008.”  The University Senate recommended the motion to President Leland unanimously.
