Resources, Planning, and Institutional Policy Committee (RPIPC) Report
given to the University Senate on October 29, 2007

  1. Budget – RPIPC is included in the budget review process; we will meet with Dr. Leland on Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. In order to be prepared for this meeting, committee members are advised to attend the budget presentations on Oct 29 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday October 30, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Museum Education Room.

  2. Scholarly Misconduct Policy – The RPIPC addressed the proposed policy and read through it.  We will follow up on this at our next meeting.

  3. Technology Planning Council –  The committee expects to see the Faculty/Staff Hardware and Software Policy come before us at the next meeting.

  4. Green Initiative – The GCSU Green Initiative has been born out of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Task Force.  This group will expand its role to examine campus energy, water, and materials management.

  5. Parking – We expect to have a policy from the Parking Advisory Committee to submit to the Senate soon.

  6. Fiscal Misconduct – We anticipate a GCSU Fiscal Misconduct policy for consideration at the next meeting.
