BPC Report to U. S.
10/31/05
submitted by Dr.
Karynne Kleine
Outcomes from our last meeting on 10/7/05 include:
- Mr. Keim distributed a PowerPoint presentation on how
10-month employees can use Human Resources services to budget for 12 months
use of their salary. This is available on the
BPC
website. Diane Kirkwood will be submitting further details as to why the
option to pay employees in 12 increments is not possible so that committee
members can knowledgeably answer questions.
- The committee agreed to a facilitative style for
conducting the meetings unless a more formal structure is necessary to
maintain order in the proceedings.
- The committee agreed that agenda items must be submitted
at least one week in advance of the monthly meeting at which time the agenda
will be submitted via the “Events Tracking” form for posting on the web-site.
- The A&S folks pursued establishing the mechanism for how
information from the committee should be disseminated to their school.
- Doug Oetter was asked to propose a “quasi- energy audit”
at the next meeting as a means for beginning energy savings on campus.
- Jerry Fisher agreed to serve as the BPC representative
on the newly formed Parking Advisory Committee.
Our next meeting is scheduled for November 4 at 12:30 in
the Library Conference room. The agenda has been submitted via the “Events
Tracking” form.
