Report of Academic Governance Committee to University Senate

Academic Governance Committee

No motions were presented by the AG Committee since the Oct. AG meeting did not have a quorum and the November meeting occurred too late to submit motions for the November 29^th Senate meeting.  Instead, a report was given on the following:

• Motions for the next Senate meeting:
  • Motion from the Faculty Awards Committee to slightly change the wording on the proposal for the Distinguished Faculty Award
  • Motion on the policy statements for the QEP and the Assessment Plan for Core Student Learning Outcomes – SACS

• The Academic Governance Committee created an ad hoc committee to look into the possibility of changing the drop form and/or putting it online.  The committee has set the first meeting time and will report back to the AG committee in February.
