Text of Survey
Please complete the survey by Friday, March 16, 2018.
While the Subcommittee on Nominations will try to accommodate your
top preference, this is not always possible. The final assignments will
depend on committee composition bylaw requirements and representation
from the colleges.
For those of you who are new to the University Senate, the following
provides an overview of the charge of each of the committees.
ACADEMIC POLICY COMMITTEE (APC) – concerned with policy relating
to undergraduate and graduate education matters that have broad impact
or implication to the university as a whole.
EDUCATION ASSESSMENT AND POLICY COMMITTEE (EAPC) – concerned with
policy relating to educational processes and academic assessment.
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE UNIVERSITY SENATE (ECUS) – the faculty
advisory body to the University President and serves as the Steering
Committee of the University Senate.
FACULTY AFFAIRS POLICY COMMITTEE (FAPC) – concerned with policy
relating to faculty welfare (e.g. authorities, responsibilities, rights,
recognitions, privileges, and opportunities).
RESOURCES, PLANNING, AND INSTITUTIONAL POLICY COMMITTEE (RPIPC) –
concerned with policy relating to non-instructional personnel (including
administrative personnel) and institutional budget and planning
functions.
STUDENT AFFAIRS POLICY COMMITTEE (SAPC) – concerned with policy
relating to the general social, cultural, and practical welfare of
students.
