Subject: University Senate Committee Selection
Fellow Senators,
Each year senators are asked to indicate their preference for committee service and that is the reason you are asked to complete this committee preference survey. According to the University Senate Bylaws, ?All members of the University Senate shall have at least one University Senate committee assignment.? The practice has been for the University Senate Subcommittee on Nominations to inform its slate of committee nominations by preference survey information.
Your preferences will be considered when creating the slate of nominees as the Subcommittee on Nominations feels that aligning senators with the work each would like to pursue is a sensible approach. Please note that the Subcommittee on Nominations will make every effort to honor your stated preference for Standing Committee service, but may not always be able to do so. The term of service on a committee to be assigned is the 2010-2011 academic year.

Please make your selections no later than the close of business on Friday, March 5, 2010.
