Craig,
Sorry if this did not make it through.  Karynne had given me feedback
in November and the faculty has agreed to the procedure attached.  The
election is on the agenda for our meeting this month.

Senate Election Procedures for The John H. Lounsbury School of Education for 2007:

The faculty has discussed and decided that SoE Senators will be chosen to insure that each department nominates one Senator to represent the department while two Senators are elected by SoE at-large.  As vacancies come the nominations will be solicited from the department (if the slot is departmental) or from the Committee on Committees (if the slot is an at-large position).

Nominations will be presented to the faculty at the January SoE meeting. Nominations from the floor will also be accepted, as long as they conform to the departmental or at-large requirements.

Voting by Corps of Instruction faculty through secret ballot will be conducted by the Committee on Committees if there are multiple nominations for the same slot or if two at-large slots are vacant and there are more than two nominees. If there is a single nomination for a slot, vote by acclamation will be allowed.
