Dear Dean Rushing,
Mary Magoulick is a University Senator from the SoLA elected by the English department.  She is unable to serve as a senator during the spring semester since she is going to be teaching out of the country.  The Executive Committee requests that you oversee the election process to find a replacement for Mary.  The election should be conducted precisely as it was conducted when Mary was elected. The new senator's term will begin January 2005 and will last for the remainder of Mary's term which ends in May 2005.
