Committee Officers,
Congratulations on being elected an officer of your standing committee!
The Executive Committee is dedicated to helping standing committees
function as smoothly as possible. We are cordially inviting you to
attend an orientation luncheon meeting for Standing Committee Officers
on Friday, September 14, 2007 from 12:30 -1:45pm in Atkinson 110.
We are particularly
grateful to President Leland for her financial support in sponsoring
this lunch as well as her ongoing commitment to and support of shared
governance at GCSU.
Should you have
special dietary needs, please contact me. Confirm your
availability for this meeting by replying to this email by September
11th. This is not necessary if you have replied to the
Save the Date notice.
Our goal is that you walk away from this meeting knowing where to access
information and who to consult with should you have questions. We have
also developed some resources that we will be sharing with you to assist
you in facilitating the business of your Standing Committee. Here is a
tentative list of topics that are being considered for inclusion as
agenda items for this orientation:
