d.  Update from Subcommittee on Nominations (SCoN)  (Doug Goings

           Membership: ECUS, Standing Committee Chairs, Chair of Staff Council, SGA President

e.  Update on Graduate Assistant Handbook/Job Description and Electronic Suggestion Box Archive (Donna Fuller)

f.   Reminder: Comprehensive Annual Reports of Committees due no later than noon on May 1, 2008

a.   Finalize the slate of nominees of the Officers and Committees of the 2008-2009 University Senate  (Comments)

b.   Organizational Committee Meetings (Facilitators of Officer Elections)   -- Wednesday April 30, 2008 12:30-1:45

        Who will facilitate these meetings?  APC, CAPC, FAPC, RPIPC, SAPC

        Any voting proxies needed?  Possibly need one for Presidential Appointee Susan Bello on CAPC

c.  Review Draft Statement on University Senate to be supplied for New Faculty Orientation 2008-2009

d.  Finalize the agenda of the University Senate meeting scheduled for Mon, April 21, 2008 (Craig)

               SET THE BATTING ORDER FOR COMMITTEE REPORTS

                  Anticipated Motions:  9 in number (5 from CAPC, 1 from ECUS, 2 from RPIPC, 1 from SAPC)

                     i. ECUS -- Resolution seeking endorsement of the University System of Georgia Faculty Council (USGFC)

                          Finalize the wording of this resolution (0708.EC.004.R)
               
ii. CAPC -- 5 curricular motions   iii. SAPC -- Affiliate Status   iv. RPIPC -- 2 motions: Intellectual Property AND Parking

e.  Finalize the agenda of the Organizational Meeting of the 2008-2009 University Senate Meeting scheduled for Mon, April 25, 2008 (Craig)

f.   Shared Informational Updates from the Standing Committee Chairs including updates from Apr 4 committee meetings.

4.   Steering Function Items

 

        a.  Confidentiality within Evaluation Policy (from January 17, 2008 Meeting)

             Queries:  Does GCSU have an evaluation policy?   If so, what and where is it?  If not, should there be one?

                 Does the concern involve policy or procedure?  If policy, to which University Senate Committee?                                   

             Faculty Advisory Role: What recommendations do the faculty here today have regarding disposition of the concern?

                 * Desire for an overarching evaluation policy that includes

                           i. a commitment to confidentiality    ii. emphasis on continuous quality improvement in the individual being evaluated

                  * Links to relevant statements in BoR and GCSU handbooks and policy manuals

               

5.   DRAFT Tentative Agenda for Next ECUS Meeting (Thurs Apr 17, 9:30-10:45)  (Kendra)

        a.  Time-permitting, discussion among the full Executive Committee regarding ECUS annual report
