Intro

Great way to start and meet people ++

Good way for new senators to find out what their responsibilities are++++

Participants received beneficial information, but I’m not sure how they processed it

Fit nicely into the agenda

One of the best parts++

Enjoyed the discussion summaries – need to try to get more old senators to attend

Goals were a bit cloudy – annual report versus tips for Senators

Maybe we could have a list of motions (passed, failed, or tabled) and list of issues brought to the senate the previous year and how they were acted upon

This could be done as a small reading assignment for new Senators

It was more effective than last year because there was more effort to integrate com. and exercises that helped us to think about the senate as one piece.++

Great idea to share results of concept survey- I’d focus more on these and how we might address respondents’ concerns.

I loved the Senate retreat- great job with organizing and planning+

Perhaps now that the governance model has been institutionalized maybe an annual senate retreat is not necessary. One day is a big commitment of time. It may be possible to distribute the information between the spring organizational meeting and the first meeting of the fall.
