Chair’s Report (given by Catherine Whelan in place of Doug Oetter)

The Resources, Planning, and Institutional Policy Committee met for the first time of the academic year on Friday, 22 August 08. We will be meeting in A&S 164 this year.

 

The committee reviewed its mission and scope, and discussed operating procedures. The committee approved the annual report from 2007-2008.

 

Pete Shields, Vice-President for Business and Finance, discussed the recent news about budget reductions and their impact on GCSU.

 

Greg Brown, Assistant Director of Auxiliary Services, requested that the committee assist with the search for faculty members to serve on the Parking Appeals Committee and the Parking & Transportation Advisory Committee.

 

At the September meeting, the committee will review its goals for the coming year.
