Academic Policy Committee (APC) Report to University Senate, August 27, 2007

Actions and agreements made at APC meeting held on Friday August 24, 2007:

• Bee Crews elected Vice-Chair

• Jan Flynn elected Secretary

• Lynn Waits   non-senator voting member (no longer available) to be replaced on committee.

• Preliminary discussion of possible policy issue areas relevant to the scope and mission of the APC:

  1) schedule-R25,

  2) plus/minus grading system,

  3) scholarly misconduct policy,

  4) academic advisement issues,

  5) intellectual property policy,

  6) drop/add procedure,

  7)  academic standing/multiple gpa calculations.

• Preview of joint ECUS/Standing committee chairs coordination meeting on Th, August 30

• Committee members to review existing policies on all previously listed potential committee issues.
