Budget and Planning Committee

The Budget and Planning Committee agreed in a ten to one vote, with four people absent from the meeting, to send a motion to the University Senate in support of the Domestic Partnership Resolution.

The Committee agreed to specific monetary amounts necessary for the naming of a building or outdoor area in recognition of an individual, corporation, foundation, or other organization.  Presently there is a Board of Regent’s Policy about the naming of facilities, but there is no University Policy.  We will probably send a recommended University policy to the University Senate in the future.

The Committee has been invited to attend the meeting on December 1, 2004, with Susaki, the company doing the University’s Master Plan.
