University Senate Election Procedures

1.      Election Procedures, Corps of Instruction, and Eligibility will be distributed to faculty of SHS 15 days prior to January School Meeting.

2.      Nominations for Senate positions will be accepted during this time.

3.      A Ballot will be drafted from the nominations received and presented at the January School meeting.

4.      Nominations from the floor will be accepted at this time. Nominated Faculty may accept or decline nomination. However, faculty who are nominated will have to accept nomination to be placed on the ballot.

5.      After nominations are closed the ballot will be accepted as presented.

6.      Voting will take place by secret ballot by faculty listed on Corps of Instruction and the results will be tallied and reported to the Dean of SHS.

7.      The Dean will report the results of the election to ECUS and SHS.
