Message from Dr. Harry Glover:

We will be casting our votes for Senator at Large this year electronically.  This is the first trial of electronic (chadless) voting -- so please follow the directions and call me if you have any questions.

You have until Thursday, March 31st at noon to complete your voting.

The candidates are (alphabetical order):
         Dean Baker
         Louis Bourne
         Paige Campbell
         Autumn Grubb
         Michael Rose
         Todd Shiver
         Patti Tolbert

Note: The candidate receiving the second-most votes will become first alternate and will assume the senator position should the person elected senator be unable to complete the term.  Second and third alternates will also be designated according to the number of votes, and would assume the senator position should the elected Senator and all previously ranked alternates be unable to complete the term of service.  In no case will a person receiving less than 25% of the votes cast be eligible to serve as an alternate.

The PAWS survey system will be used for voting.

Here are the steps for accessing the system:

In order to access the survey, please follow these steps:

    1.  Go to PAWS at http://paws.gcsu.edu/.

    2.  Enter the Secure Area.

    3.  Log in.

    4.  Select "Personal Information."

    5.  Select "Answer A Survey."

    6.  Choose "University Senate At Large Elections for 2005-2006".

    7.  Once you have made your selection, click "Survey Complete."

SAMPLE BALLOT:

Please cast your vote for one (1) Senator At-Large for the 2005-2006 academic year. You may vote for ONLY one of the 7 candidates. Voting for more than one will void your ballot. Due to the limitations of the survey system, this ballot is in two questions.

The candidate receiving the second-most votes will become first alternate and will assume the senator position should the person elected as senator be unable to complete the term. Second and third alternates will also be designated according to the number of votes, and would assume the senator position should the elected Senator and all previously ranked alternates be unable to complete the term of service. In no case will a person receiving less than 25% of the votes cast be eligible to serve as an alternate.
